So arrived the end of 8th grade year, and I had to choose what to do next. Ventura High School or Foothill Technology High School? I could go to Foothill Technology High School with my sister, or Ventura High School with all my friends. My parents cared about my education and not my friends. I'm an easy going kind of person so I didn't fight with my parents. I agreed with them and decided it will be a better academic decision for me.
My friends that applied for Ventura High School begged me to come with them. My friends that got into Foothill Technology High School begged me to come with them, so they can suffer with another person. My sister is a senior here and my parents wouldn't let me go to Ventura High School. So they made me come to Foothill Technology High school.
The beginning of school, the orientation, seeing friends that I had in elementary school that I haven't talked to in 3 years. Seeing my friends from middle school that I didn't get to hang out with over the summer. Meeting with my awesome FIRE crew people, Jacob, Fernando, Kay, Kazo, and Briana, just to name a few. Getting my schedule and going to the right classes, especially on block days, and seeing people that I didn't think were going here.
Foothill Technology for me now, I feel that my parents and I made a great choice on coming to Foothill Technology High School. I am pleasantly surprised that I don't have a lot of homework (I was expecting a tremendice amount). I feel comfortable with all my new and old friends. I have no regrets for coming to Foothill Technology High School. The students are great and the teachers are awesome!
